We're Building the Future of Music.

The Suzuki Institute of Dallas campaign has a goal to raise $3 million to build and endow SID with a 'unique -to-the-metroplex' music education facility.

This goal is designed to create a state of the art training center for the youth in our community to use as a tool to foster a lifetime appreciation for music. The Suzuki method has a rich history of musical excellence since its introduction to Dallas in 1966. It also has a history of lacking an adequate facility to match its reputation of cultivating musical talent. Our campaign strives to give these young artists the facility they deserve. Today, SID is the largest private music school in DFW where approximately 250 students are trained by 12 world-class faculty members on violin, viola, cello, flute, piano and theory. The Suzuki Institute of Dallas holds monthly recitals, home concerts, annual parent & child workshops and an annual concert at SMUs Caruth Auditorium.

To reach our goal to raise $ 3 million by 2007 we need your help.   There are many opportunities and benefits offered to those individuals, businesses and foundations who would like to offer financial support to SID. Endowment opportunities include:

Friend of SID (up to $1,000)

Silver Circle ($1,001 - $4,999)

Gold Circle ($5,000 - $9,999)

Diamond Circle ($10,000+)

Supporting the Suzuki Institute of Dallas affords companies a strong public image, impacting marketing and sales goals. Your customers and employees will be proud of your association with SID. In addition, studies show that 76% of consumers would be more likely to switch to a brand or retail outlet associated with a good cause.

Dear Music Supporter:

I am writing this letter to invite you to participate in one of the greatest opportunities to strengthen the education of young people in the Metroplex.

The Suzuki Institute of Dallas (SID) is one of the premier music education institutions for children 3-18 years old. With a long history of excellence in instruction in piano, violin, viola, cello and flute, the SID has outgrown its current facility and has begun the task of funding a new 'unique to the Metroplex' building program.

Our goal is to finance, build and endow the kind of music education facility that represents a commitment to excellence deserving of the area young people who call SID their music school, and the thousands of young minds that SID will stimulate and challenge in the years to come. Our goal is to raise $3 million for education by 2005. You can help us take an impressive step towards achieving this ambitious objective.

Since 1966, more then 5,000 Metroplex young people have developed their musical abilities, memory, music appreciation, self-confidence and cognitive development skills using the Suzuki method. SID students have participated in more than 25,000 public performances including playing the national anthem at the Ballpark in Arlington, as quest artists with regional symphony orchestras and on tour throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Japan and China. Although only a few develop their musical skills to the point of being accepted to TCU's Van Cliburn Institute, Juilliard or the Eastman School of Music, the fact that so many SID graduates have made music their profession, speaks volumes for the outstanding program offered by SID.

We believe that music education is more than merely a parental responsibility. It is all of our responsibilities to pave the way for future generations. The new SID Center and its endowment will be our gift for the future. We hope that you could join us in this exciting project and welcome your support.

If you would be interested in making a gift or would like more information about SID and the SID Foundation, please do not hesitate to contact myself.
