Suzuki Institute of Dallas Suzuki Institute of Dallas

Welcome to the Suzuki Institute of Dallas

The implementation of Suzuki’s Talent Education system is a long-term process. The program of instruction and fee structure reflect this intent and are established for a minimum of one school year containing 42 weeks beginning August 12, 2000.

Tuition
The first tuition payment is due upon registration with subsequent tuition payments due according to the payment option chosen.

Tuition payment due dates are posted in the hallway adjacent to the Business Manager’s Office. Invoices and statements will be sent to families in advance of the payment due date. Unless arrangements are made with the Business Manager, a late fee of $10.00 per week will be charged if the payment is more than 10 business days late. Payments may be mailed or left in the Business Manager’s Office. Please mark clearly on the bottom of your check what the payment covers. If you are paying cash for any item, please insert the money in an envelope and write your name and nature of payment on the envelope. Additionally, a $10.00 administrative charge will be added to each payment beyond the first payment in all but the 1 payment option.

Registration
The following must be completed prior to commencing classes each school year:

  • Student Registration Form
  • Payment Agreement (must be signed and dated)
  • Payment of appropriate fees
  • Payment of any prior account balance

Please pay for supplies and miscellaneous items by separate check or cash. Our accounting system makes it difficult to accommodate paying for items other than tuition on a tuition check. Non-completion of the school year relieves a family of its financial obligation to the school for unusual circumstances only. These circumstances include a serious illness in the immediate family or a move of 50 miles or more from the greater Dallas area. Such unusual circumstances must be discussed with the Executive Directors and the teacher. In order for a family to withdraw from the program prior to the end of the forty-two week year, a waiver/release form must be signed by the Executive Director. Otherwise the family will be held responsible for their financial obligation. Early bird registration is available for continuing students. A $100.00 deposit paid in June reserves the child’s place in the school and indicates your intention to enroll in the next school year.

Absences
Any lessons missed due to weather related closings will be made up. SID notifies Channel 5 and Channel 11 of school closing due to weather. Please watch either of these channels for school closing notification. If a student misses or cancels a lesson, the teacher is NOT required to make up the lesson. If a teacher has waited for a student for twenty minutes and the student has not arrived, the teacher is not required to wait any longer nor is the teacher required to make up the lesson. If the student has waited for the teacher for twenty minutes and the teacher has not arrived, the student does not have to wait any longer and the teacher will be required to make up the lesson. When a student knows in advance that he or she will not be able to make his or her lesson, the student may trade lessons with another student of the same level, providing the teacher approves the trade. If a teacher cancels or misses a lesson for any reason, the teacher is required to make up the lesson.
